Corresponding to invitation from HKU, Mr. Guoxiang Shi, the vice Secretary of Municipal Party Committee/ Deputy Mayor of Siping in Jinlin province visited HK SAR on July 12. The vice secretary’s group has paid attention specially on development of wine industry in HK.

According to Mr. Shi, now Siping is extending efforts on outwards-communion and attracting exterior investments，and keen on tightening relationship with HK especially in wine industry.

After having introduced the city’s location, resources and goals for economy & trade cooperation, Shi gave his opinions on how he thinks about HK as a wine distribution hub and an wine acution center. Siping has its advantage of being also a distribution hub in North-east China. Concerning to wine industry, Siping market has revealed a strong growth in demand, and profit margin is high. It is wise to focus on wine industry, with close relationship to HK.

Ms. Shuting Zhang，Principal Assistant Secretray of HK Trade and Economy Bureau respeonded that they (the bureau) will provide support and infomation needed.
