As the Chinese New Year holiday is coming, prices of wine in HK rise by 10%. At present, HK people are chary of consumption. This has effect on bargain on wine business. Some famous wineries and producers have to adjust wine prices to a little lower level.

However, wine investment is still worthy. For the holiday is coming, and it is a high season of hot sales. People will choose wine as gifts or for self-consumption. 10% higher in price of wine is anticipated.

HK wine industry is still facing many challenges, including lack of sommeliers, high costs of rental and hunman resouces, and some peripherial factors of finance and exchange rates, etc. It is suggested that the government should throw in more resource into the industry, and make policies benefit it more.
