Annual consumption of alcohol in Yunnan was more than 400 thousand tons which is on the third place in the mainland.

Yunnan has 25 minorities with their own wine cultures. Drinking wine is the traditional diet in Yunnan. This custom improves the development of Yunnan wine market. The secretary-general of Yunnan Wine Association said that Yunnan was dominant in the southwest areas of mainland. And it also had entered South East Asia market. It's believed that Yunnan would be the huge and potential market.
