French chateau's three steps for entering China market

Recently, French Chateau Herbauges wine-tasting event was held in Shanghai. It owned 125 hektares vineyard and it was the biggest local family vineyard.


It showed three steps for French chateaux to enter China market: entering, negotiating, cooperating.


First,entering China market and promoting their products. After 20 years' cultivating in China market, French wine became the pronoun of romance and elegance in Chinese people's heart. The first step for many French chateaux to open China market was to take part in the exhibitions and wine-tasting events and let Chinese consumers to know their products. Chateau Herbauges took part in the 8th SIAL Shanghai to promote their wines there.


Second, looking for and negotiating. French Chateaux liked to seek dealers and set up franchised sotres in China. They intended to enter China market by dealers and exploit by themselves.


Third, cooperation. Wine paired with Chinese foods was one of the most useful ways to attact Chinese consumers. French chateaux could develop with Chinese wine enterprises. They cooperated to organize a series of activities to promote products.
