Australia promoted wine culture in Shanghai

On May 12, more than 100 varieties of Australian fine wines were shown in Shanghai in order to promote Australian wine culture.


The theme of the wine exhibition was "Exploring Australian Wine". About 50 brands of Australian wine (100 varieties) were selected to be shown. Susan Dietz, the Australian consul general in Shanghai said that Australian wine were the first class in the world. Its various styles and tastes were exploring.


The related person of Austrade said that exports of Australian bottled wine to China firstly broke through 1 million cases. China was the biggest market for Australian wine in Asia.


Australian wine was developed. There were about 60 wine producing countries and 2000 wineries as well as 4000 varieties of wine brands.


Austrade and AWBC will cooperate to promote Australian wine education, training and propagandizing.
