Wenzhou's consumers should keep an eye on the prices of imported wine
www.wines-info.com by Wing 2008-6-24 17:22:10

Since the first franchised wine-store was set up in Wenzhou in 2004, more and more imported wine-stores were set up there. It's said that about there were 40 franchised wine-stores in wenzhou now. It's twice as many as that of last year. Imported wine accounted for 35% of total wine consumption in Wenzhou. Wine sales were 500 -700 million yuan in Wenzhou and sales of imported wine accounted for 200 million yuan.

It's said that wines whose prices ranged between 100 and 300 yuan were most popular in Wenzhou. Some high-end imported wines are considered to be gifts. The related departments asked consumers to buy imported wines carefully. Some imported wines are dear but their quality are not so good. Some low-end imported wines are packed beautifully and promoted largely in order to increase their profits. Therefore, the related departments appeal that consumers should pay more attention to the wine logos and certifications of inspection and quarantine.
