Great Wall Wine, China's largest winery and cork producer Amorim have teamed up in a joint project to seal all wine served at the the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with natural cork.

All Great Wall wines served at this year's Games will be sealed with natural cork in a move that it says marks its commitment towards sustainable development.

COFCO Wines & Spirits (Great Wall Wine) is the exclusive wine supplier for the 16-day long Games, which kicked off with an opening ceremony in Beijing today.

Great Wall Wine is COFCO Wines and Spirits flagship brand, exported to countries including the UK, USA, France, and Germany. The company says it sees the major opportunity of its association with the Beijing Olympic Games as ensuring China's position in the world's wine culture, and earning global recognition of the Chinese wine industry.
