Imported wines seize Zhongshan market
www.wines-info.com by 2008-8-22 16:16:36

More and more imported wines enter markets, franchised stores and pubs in Zhongshan. The statistics from Zhongshan Customs showed that Zhongshan's imports of wines were 300 thousand liters from Janaury to July, up 25.3% over than of last year and amount to 1.17 million dollars, up 151% over than of last year. And imported wines that packed in below 2-liter vessels increased dramatically. From January to July, imports reached 173 thousand liters, up 45.2% and amount to 1.095 million dollars, up 171.1%.

There are 12 imported wine enterprises in Zhongshan and 8 of them are the new ones in this year. The imports of these 8 enterprises accounted for two thirds. The tax cut stimulated enterprises to import wines. In addition, France, Australia, America, SA and other countries supplied a great deal of wines with good quality and low prices. From January to July, imports of wines from SA and America  were separately 95 thousand liters and 72 thousand liters, up 3.8 times and 3.5 times.
