Legacy Wines in China
www.marketwatch.com by 2008-9-10 11:12:09

Legacy Wine and Spirits International Ltd. (LWSP:) reports that the Company's first corporate flagship wine outlet/showroom store catering to retail and wholesale transactions in the Beijing area is scheduled to commence business in October 2008. The Company is prepared to enter into the surging Chinese wine consumer market. The delay from the Company's planned September launch was partly due to construction restrictions in Beijing during the Olympic Games and some change to the initial business model. A select group of wine producers are working with the Company to take advantage of this exciting growing industry in China.

With developer Li Chun Ming's International Wine Culture Village already under construction outside Beijing and a similar development to London's wine-based tourist attraction 'Vinopolis' planned for Shanghai, it is very evident that wine is on the menu in China and Legacy Wine and Spirits International is ready to serve the wine.

"One thing is clear: wine, whether of the Chinese or imported variety, has become a booming business in China with consumption growing each year by a healthy 10-15 per cent."
