Legacy Imports Californian Wine to China
money.cnn.com by 2008-10-06

Legacy Wine and Spirits International Ltd. (OTCBB: LWSP) reports that the Company has forged an alliance with Bronco Wine Company, the single largest private grape grower in the world with ownership of 17,000 hectares of wine grapes and five Californian wineries. Legacy is importing 750 ml bottled wines in several varietals of Bronco Winery's Hacienda Cellars Brand from Sonoma County, California.

The Hacienda brand from Bronco Winery will include Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Viognier, White Zinfandel and Brut Sparkling Wine. All wine varietals are aimed at the mid-price point and will be distributed and retailed in China via wholesale retailers and Legacy's own outlet showroom which caters to the retail buyer as well, located in TEDA, Tianjin, a second tier city of over 10 million people just outside of Beijing. The Hacienda brand is well known among wine consumers in Europe, Canada and certain parts of Asia as well as the United States.

The American Health Association's recent findings regarding the health benefits of red wine bodes well with the Chinese consumer. The Company will initially focus its marketing efforts on varietals such as Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, however, a fair selection of white wine varietals will also be available for sale to wholesalers and retail consumers as the Chinese consumer becomes more educated on the specific beneficial merits of white wine as well as the natural fit in complementing Chinese cuisine.

The renovations of the Company's flagship retail showroom in TEDA, Tianjin are well underway and its doors are expected to open in accordance with the Company's anticipated late October Grand Opening.

The Company would like to report that Mr. David Zhang has resigned as Chief Finance Officer and Director. Jaclyn Cruz, a current director, was appointed the new Chief Finance Officer, Secretary and Treasurer.
