From May 18 to 27, Australian wine showcase will be held in southwest and south of China.
In recent years, wine sales in China kept on increasing. And more and more Australian wines entered Chinese wine market. Many Australian wine exporters had been finding Chinese buyers and partners. In 2007, China exceeded Japan to become the biggest export market of Australian wine. And Australia was also became China’s second biggest supplier of wine.

The statistics from AWBC showed that China was the important emerging country for Australia to export wine. In 2008, Australia exported 11.2 million liters bottled wine and 2.6 million liter bulked wines to China. Australia's wine exports to China increased 26% in the past 12 months.
Australia will hold "2009 Australian wine showcase" (more than 30 Australian vintners) in Guangzhou (May 25), Kunming (May 20), Chongqing (May 18), Sanya (May 22) and Xiamen (May 27) in May. Australia hope the showcase can bring Australian wine styles and commercial opportunities to Chinese wine lovers and related persons in wine industry.
