www.wines-info.com by 2009-05-22

Yesterday, more then 30 Australian chateaux promoted red wine in Kunming, China. Tang Jiefu, the Australian Vice-consul in Guangzhou was present at the wine-promotion.

An Australian chateaux's owner said that there were lots of wine consumers in Yunnan. And the prices of Australian wine ranged from 50 yuan to 100 yuan. It's suitable for Yunnan's wine consumers. So he thought Yunnan had a large potential. The related statistics showed that Australian wine was introduced in Yunnan in 2001 and it seized 40% shares in Yunnan market. It's next below France.

Tang Jiefu said that Yunnan enterprises could also cooperate with Australian enterprises in other industries, including agriculture and culture communication. In addition, Australia had a good climate to grow off-season flowers. And Yunnan's flower enterprises could find partners in Australia.
