China Representative Office of Italian Wine Alliance (IWA) was set up

Italian Wine Alliance (IWA) held the news release conferences in Beijing and Shanghai in May, 2009. And it announced at the conference that China Representative Office was set up that day. In addition, it presented at SIAL. Its website was www.italiawinealliance.com.cn.

IWA was set up on December 15, 2008. It was supported by Italian government and EU. It was composed by 9 wineries which were from the most important wine regions of Italy. It aimed to promote Italian wines to all over the world.

China Representative Office of IWA promoted Italian wines to China by different ways, including holding business events, wine tasting events and wine promotions.

This year is the first year for IWA to enter Chinese market and hold wine promotions. IWA will hold series of wine promotions, training and education activities in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. It helps wine importers to know more about Italian wines. And wine lovers can communicate with each other in their website.

IWA expected to cooperate with more and more Chinese wine importers and dealers. The most important thing is Italian products can be recognized by Chinese consumers.
