The international showcase, representative of all the F&B market’s sectors, returns to Shanghai SIAL China returns once again to Shanghai, one of the most dynamic markets for F&B industries in the world. This is the 8th international exhibition in the Middle Kingdom staged by Exposium for food and beverage professionals, and once again the support shown by exhibitors and attendees for SIAL China 2007 demonstrates the experience and trust that Exposium has accumulated over more than 50 years of service. In all, 1,100 exhibitors are expected at SIAL China 2007 and over 65% of the total exhibiting space has already been booked.
Expect to see an unrivalled range of F&B items at SIAL China as it is the largest and leading event for the industry: there will be pavilions representing different countries and regions with 50 confirmed participants such as Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.
Among them, some will raise the flag for the first time at our show, including the Czech Republic, Syria, the UK, numerous Italian regions … and more to come!
Prestigious companies of the international panorama will showcase their finest products and latest developments. In total, over 55 countries are expected at SIAL China 2007. Exposium has mobilized its headquarters and offices in Beijing and Shanghai as well as its local agents in 13 countries and regions in Asia Pacific (Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New-Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam plus Hong Kong and Taiwan) with mailing and advertising activities but also ground operations to ever increase the Asia Pacific visitorship.
With a view to increasing SIAL China’s visibility, Exposium will focus this year on several communication channels such as stirring 120 written media contacts and 100 professional and economic websites, sending the monthly electronic newsletter in English language to more than 20,000 professionals worldwide as well as sending a total of 400 000 invitation leaflets in China and abroad.

In tandem with the ever growing show is going a series of events which will encompass conferences, seminars led by market experts and professionals as well as culinary demonstrations and competitions.
The China Wine and Spirits Competition is entering its 8th year and belongs today to the standard events of the show with a wide-spread reputation. Giving participants the opportunity to boost their communications towards wine and spirits trade professionals in Asia, the competition attracts wine producers of all caliber.
For the third time, OlivAsia –the unique olive oil competition in Asia– will run shortly before the show and will gather a panel of independent Olive Oil experts and a jury of Food and Beverage Managers. Similarly to the Wine and Spirits
Competition, winners will be announced after the Opening Ceremony and will benefit from a high exposure to the professional press and key decision-makers.
Carrefour and Metro join once again SIAL China and will stage the highly expected Buyers Meetings with their senior purchasers in their business lounge to run a marathon of one-on-one appointments with potential new product suppliers among the exhibitors.
